Movie: Fallen (2016)

I just watched movie Fallen since The Walking Dead Season 8 Episode 2 will not be available in PS Vue until tomorrow.

Fallen a fantasy/thriller movie based on a book series (Fallen, Torment, Passion, and Rapture) by Lauren Kate. I've made a few research about it and thank you google for the information I needed for my blog review. Basically the movie only got 7% from rotten tomatoes, 5.5/10 by IMDb, and lastly 1.5/4 by Roger Robert. I guess it is not that hugged by many millennials, because for me it feels like I'm watching a TWILIGHT SAGA movie just in a different dimension. It has that Gothic feeling, dark grungy love triangle theme on it. It doesn't have that thing that make me focus on the movie, though I'm watching it the entire time to understand what's going, however it really doesn't have that spark on me. Sometimes, it is also by the budget of the movie and the production itself. It somehow give a good effect and that is a 7 out of 10 for me.

Story wise? hmmm... I've never read the book yet, but it seems it's better than the movie. No offense pips.

According to one of the movie critic,

"Coming several years too late to capitalize on the height of the book series' popularity, this supernatural teen romance isn't good enough to merit any sequels." Sandie Angulo of ChenCommon Sense Media

Though I cannot help myself to not compare it to Twilight and other teen romance movie that falls in the same category, its just too late for the hype when everyone as of this year and last year is more on super hero movies, zombies and girl's kick butts kind of thing in the big screen. There are still many who loves it to the bones and wanted to continue the series, but who knows? It is still an okay movie to watch, especially for the romantics, this is a good movie for a date night.

My Star Rating: it was okay

About the Movie:

Luce is just an ordinary teen girl until a shocking accident sends her to a mysterious reform school for misfit and eclectic teenagers. There, she meets two students, Daniel and Cam. Torn between the instant electrifying connection she feels with Daniel and the attracting force of Cam, Luce is quickly pulled into a passionate love triangle. As she tries to piece together deeply fragmented memories, she is left with a feeling of undeniable longing for her one true love and the revelation of a love story that has been going on for centuries, will shatter the boundaries between heaven and earth.
